How to prepare your iPhone

You need to erase your phone and log out of your Apple ID to be able to sell it to Vendy. This we do to ensure that all data is wiped from your device before you sell it.

You can erase your phone by going to:

Transfer Reset iPhone

Erase All Content and Settings

Enter your Apple ID password and confirm.

Also, please check the following before selling:

  1. Remove all protective casing and clean your device

  2. Remove any old SIM card

  3. Charge your phone to >30% for a smooth transaction

  4. Make sure to bring a device with a valid BankID

How to use a Vendy kiosk

Start by touching the screen and connecting your phone to the attached USB-cable. In this first step we check your phone model, serial number, battery and make sure your phone has been reset properly.

02 Place your phone inside the kiosk

Connect your phone to the kiosk Wi-Fi and place it inside the grading cabin. We will now take photos of your phone to determine an accurate cosmetic condition. We are able to identify everything from small scratches and cracks on your screen and backglass to even small dents in your frame!

03 Get paid in seconds with Swish

Review our price-offer. If you accept the offer, you need to verify yourself using BankID, and after that we pay you immediately in seconds with Swish - quick and easy! You are however always able to get your phone back up until the very last confirmation, so do not worry. Our price offer is based on a deep and detailed evaluation of your phone's functional and cosmetic condition.

How long does it take to receive payment?

We will pay you immediately by using Swish, meaning you will have your money on the spot after the transaction is finalized

Do I need to verify myself somehow before selling?

Yes, you will need to verify yourself through BankID at the kiosk before final confirmation - safe and easy! Your Swish account needs to match your social security number from BankID to be able to fulfill the transaction. You also need to be at least 18 years old to be able to sell your old phone to Vendy.

How does Vendy determine pricing?

To get a price, you will be asked to connect your phone to the kiosk so that we can check the model and to see if it's funtional. After that, our AI does a visual evaluation inside the kiosk. Once the evaluation is complete you will be offered a price. Our prices are visible on the kiosk by clicking on "Show our offers" on the front page of the kiosk. We adjust our prices every week based on every unique phone model.

What will happen with the data on my phone after I sell it?

Vendy only accepts phones that have been reset, restored, and logged out of your Apple-ID.

Does my device have to be charged before I visit Vendy?

Not fully charged, but you need to have at least 30% battery before visiting a kiosk. The phone needs to be switched on in order for you to sell it. As old batteries might be unpredictable - it’s better to have a little extra battery charge.

Do you buy Android phones?

Currently we are only able to accept iPhones, but we will be adding Androids already in the beginning of 2026!

What iPhone models do you currently buy?

The oldest iPhone-series we accept is iPhone 5. As old iPhones are no longer being updated by Apple (iPhone XS and older), they have unfortunately lost their value in the secondary market and will be recycled. We will however still compensate you 60kr for responsibly selling and recycling your old phone with Vendy. Please note that you phone still has to power on to be able to sell it.

Can I have the phone back if I don't like the price?

Yes, you can easily reject the price offer and get your phone back if you’re not happy with it.

Can I get my device back after I sold it?

No, after you have accepted the price quote and gotten paid the transaction is finalized and we are not able to return the device.
